Ephesians 4:16 explains that there is an effective way of working together that we should all be aiming for as believers, in which every part does its share, which results in growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. That’s what Body Builders is about: body ministry one to another by the power of the Holy Spirit with a heart of love and a purpose of edifying or building up the body (1 Cor. 14:26).

Spiritual growth doesn’t come through remaining in a place of comfort and complacency – it comes through times of being challenged and stretched spiritually. Body Builders is our way of intentionally stirring up our spiritual gifts in a public setting to encourage and build each other up so we can all grow in our faith and in our capacity to exercise our faith biblically for the benefit others.

The Bible teaches that God wants to directly and specifically communicate His heart of love and care to His children through their brothers and sisters in the Lord. As we listen to the Lord He places Scriptures, prayers and encouraging words on our hearts for others, and when we share these things we are exercising faith as we build up the body in love.

Body Builders is held on the first and third Sunday of each month. The first Sunday is at noon immediately following the morning service and the third Sunday is at 6:00 p.m.

Children are well cared for during Body Builders:

• Nursery - offered for ages 3 and under
• Pre-K and above - We encourage them to join the Body in the worship center. The children’s teachers keep their classes seated together and supervise them during the meeting.
